Is It Right That We Were Wrong?!
It is left unspoken. But we were both wrong.
Through blame games and fear of loss, we lost the best of our existence. You knew you were heading towards misery down a road holding that hand. You knew at heart that the path is endless and rough. You held on to the pain and it kept you going until it ended it all.
Emotions we chase, and the serotonin we are hooked on. Every story of addiction ends in the loss of direction, of purpose. The highs were not enough to keep us rolling forever. The highs were not enough.
A letter of regrets may it be. Some words spread for you here to pick up on, to hear. The apologies are due and given. The courage is gone and shattered. No more comebacks to make, no more tears to shed. For now, you found your happy place, and now you know who you were longing to become. You became, dear, you became.
All the messages left unsent, and all the times we act… As if nothing went wrong. As if no mistakes were made. It is what they called “moving on”. On you moved, and on shall you move.
